JOB OPPORTUNITY
The Town of Savoy Highway Department is seeking qualified applicants for the Full-Time position (40 hours/week) of Operator/Mechanic.
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting inspections of vehicle systems-hydraulic, electrical, mechanical, including fuel lines
- Performing repairs and maintenance on Town vehicles and equipment
- Maintaining an equipment maintenance log and schedule
- Ensuring that all equipment is maintained in safe working condition.
Duties will include:
- The servicing and maintenance of the entire vehicle fleet and equipment for the Town of Savoy
- Snow plowing will be required during the winter season
Skills/Certifications/Licenses:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Class B CDL license-Required
- Massachusetts Hoisting Engineer's License with at least a 2A endorsement-Required
- Five (5) years of experience or specialized training in vehicle engine repair and construction equipment maintenance-Preferred
